Three magical seeds that are said to keep the soil of Barovia fertile in spite of the curse on the land. They have the power to bring life or animation to objects, or fertility to the land in which they are buried. One was found at Yester Hill, and another was located at Berez. The third was found inside a large crystal heart inside Ravenloft.
The loss of a seed may explain the sudden disappearance of life from Zarovich Lake.
Strange druids have been performing rituals with the seeds, perhaps under the command of the vampire Strahd. The Martikov family wishes for the seeds to be protected, to keep their winery in business.
