A once small village that now lies in ruins south of Valleki. A small river runs next to it. It was flooded by Strahd von Zarovich around 100 years ago in revenge for the killing of Marina and subsequently abandoned. When we visited it, the only people there were Baba Lysaga, Muriel Vinshaw, and the ghost of the former Burgomaster, Lazlo Ulrich.

The village remains to the west of the river are shrouded in dense fog with clouds of biting flies. Ruined cottages line a short stretch of dirt road, and the remains of a mansion sit on the higher ground next to an untamed garden and a crude wooden fence topped with skulls and containing goats.

Inside the mansion's ruins we met the ghost of Lazlo Ulrich, who told us the story of Marina, Brother Grigor, and the town's demise. He grew angry when we searched the house for items.

Northwest of the houses is a graveyard containing headstones bearing the names Sorina, Grigor, Oleg, Lazlo, Dragomir, and Clavdia. Separated from the rest of the graves and enclosed by an iron fence is a monument to Marina, with a statue of her kneeling and holding a flower. It bares the inscription "Marina taken by the mists." When Bell inspected it, he saw bloated, grey shapes begin to shamble out of the fog.

In the center of the old town stands Baba Lysaga's ramshackle hut built upon a stump with roots like spider legs. Outside were two iron cages filled with ravens, but Bellerand set them free. Scarecrows that can come to life are set up in the area around the hut, likely as an alarm or trap.

To the east of the river is an ancient ring of moss-covered standing stones, ranging in height from 15 to 18 feet tall. The north, south, east, and west stones are tallest, and some of them lean inward. Bell could tell that the land inside of the circle was once blessed. Hiding behind the tallest of the stones we found Muriel Vinshaw, who warned us of Baba Lysaga and told us tales of Strahd and Mother Night.
