A large crystal heart approximately 10 feet wide and 20 feet tall that emits a pulsating red glow, found suspended in the air in the middle tower of Ravenloft. It contained one of the Gems of Life, which allowed it to move the tower as a defense mechanism. It turned into blood when it was destroyed.
Percy thinks it may be some kind of device to hold damage for Strahd.
