The matriarch of the Wachter family and mother of the Watchers, Nikolai and Karl. She lived in the Wachterhaus and kept an invisible imp familiar upon her shoulders.

After she began making moves to take over the town from the Baron, she was killed in her sleep by Dren and Gale, while Percy accused her of necromancy and framed her for the murder of Izek Strazni. Her manifesto promised rewards through devil worship and stated that Strahd von Zarovich was the rightful lord of Barovia (although her reincarnated husband, Nikolaj, has stated that during his life she never seemed to actually like Strahd, only respect him out of fear). She had been using her invisible familiar to trick people into believing that she could call forth gold coins in rituals.

She had at least six guards, who were aware of Dren and Magda's dislike of her.
