A family who lived in the house known as Death House and owned the windmill Old Bone Grinder. The patriarch considered himself a servant of Strahd, although Strahd himself seemed disdainful of him. It seems likely that everyone in the family came to a tragic end — Gustav killed his illegitimate child, and Rose and Thorn were locked away in the attic to starve.
