An abbey in the mountains of Krezk that can be seen from the uppermost room of Argynvostholt. It lies to the west, beyond a long stretch of foggy pines, between rocky hills on a mountainside, up a switchback path of loose gravel. Once a hospital and a convent, it is named after a priest of the Morning Lord who took a stand against Strahd.

The Abbott resides here, and no one from the village has visited in this lifetime. Rumors in Krezk claim that the bell rings at odd times, and that the residents of the abbey all became cannibals or died when it fell to Strahd. The Abbott himself claims that "a terrible fate" befell the abbey before he came to take care of it.

The iron gates of the abbey have two small stone outbuildings attached where Zygfrek and Otto seem to live. The abbey itself has two wings joined by a 15 foot high curtain wall, with a belfry on the north wing.

The entrance to the abbey lead to a courtyard surrounded by scarecrows dressed as armored guards. The overhangs of the wall shelter several locked stone sheds and shallow alcoves containing troughs. In the center of the courtyard is a stone well fitted with an iron wench and a rope and bucket; to the side is Marzena, a short humanoid with long, stringy black hair, spider mandibles, and bat wings. She is chained to a wooden post and does not respond to words or the Message spell.

In the north hall is a 50 foot square room with arched, leaded glass windows and stairs on either wall leading upwards and downwards. A table stretches the length of the room. Behind it is a fireplace with a cauldron. Above the mantle is a golden disc engraved with a symbol of the sun. Behind it is a hidden niche in the wall containing a crystal and electrum flask with a liquid inside. Downstairs is a wine cellar containing approximately 50 bottles of Purple Grape Mash #3 and Red Dragon Crush. One bottle, marked Champagne du le Stomp, contains a Heroes' Feast spell scroll that Gale and Percy failed to steal. Upstairs is Clovin's and the Abbott's bedroom.

In the eastern wing is a ruined office with stairs going upwards around a corner. A long hallway with many locked doors on either side leads to the gardens. A 7 foot tall assemblage of body parts guards the hallway. Up the stairs is another office and the old hospital chambers, containing a a Nursery, an Operating Room, and a Morgue. A ghostly nun, disembodied screams, and a raven appeared in the rooms as we entered them. A door in the office leads to the ledge over the courtyard where the scarecrows stand. The ledge leads across to the second floor of the north wing.

The outer grounds of the abbey contain a well-taken care of garden that contains small animals, something we have not seen anywhere else in Barovia. A graveyard with many ancient headstones contains graves for old nuns and priests, including Brother Martek, Brother Valen, Sister Constance, and Sister Lenora. One grave, that of Tasha Petrovna, stands out from the rest, with ornately carved roses and a sun-shaped indentation.
