Bell uses Geas on Izek: "Remain in Barovia town and help its people to the best of your ability." Checks on tea production and re-controls 12 sporebies. He wildshapes and brings 4 with him.

Percy goes to the mayor's to check up on him. Eats with the mayor; calls him Vargas but makes the mayor call him Mr Van Helsing. Casts Alarm on the mayor's windows and doors, only allowing family, staff, himself, and Magda through. Goes upstairs, Disguises Self as an old Dumbledore-esque wizard and appears to Victor. Introduces himself as Alistor from the Wizard's College on the plane on Carindeen. Says his training will begin soon but he must make an oath when the time is right. Victor is enthusiastic to be special. Percy gets him to "practice a spell" and Prestidigitates to make him think it worked. Swears V to secrecy and leaves.

Gale gives the rapier to Nikolaj. Talks to him about Fiona - he's sad that she seems to have "sold her soul" to save him. Gale plays music to comfort him and let him mourn. Gale looks for diamonds among the AT loot (finds 3) and takes the bronze crown. Heads to Valleki with Nikolaj. Asks about Vistani. He's never worked with them directly, tells mostly negative rumors that we've already heard. Curse on the land? Says Strahd has spies everywhere, people are constantly working for him. Only mayor has been able to keep Valleki safe it seems. Knows nothing about OotSD or Mother Night. They find the rubble of Wachterhaus and he collapses when he finds a skull. Gale checks for anything salvageable; finds an iron chest. N warns Gale that it's trapped with poison but Gale successfully picks the lock. It's lined with lead and contains bones. G asks whose and N smiles and motions for it back. G persuades him to tell. N says the name Leo Dilisnya. The D family and the W family were at odds in the past; the Ds were soldiers in Strahd's army. Leo is rumored to be the soldier that betrayed Strahd and killed him on the night of Sergei's wedding. The W family has kept the bones all these years to keep them from being found or him being brought back. "Giving Strahd unlife is what brought the curse upon the land." G and N take the chest back to Raven Roost.

Dren shows Nellshan around Raven Roost and shows her that the ravens are still being taken care of. She's happy about it. He makes some sandwiches and makes friends with her. She tells him stories of the early party days. He asks about Malicus and why she doesn't think he should be reincarnated.

Bell Communes with Nature in the hills north of Ravenloft. Finds no buildings and that the area is primarily limestone. Detects that Strahd is probably currently in Ravenloft. Almost gets caught in a hunting trap but avoids it. Rests in a tree then heads to RR.

Percy returns to RR and Dren throws bread at his hat. A raven swoops down and his owl familiar attacks it. Percy walks upstairs as if nothing happened. He Identifies the ink and compact: just regular ink with some kind of strange unidentifiable magic that makes one sick. Could be used to inscribe but would make me sick; compact has transmutation magic on it. Haven't found out anything new about Strahd from the book. Begins to read the Mother Night book.

Gale and Nikolaj return and Dren does the bread trick again. G tells him to take the chest upstairs. G catches us up on the chest and story. Percy reads the story from Strahd's diary and pores over the bones. Says Strahd made a deal at the AT for his first death to not be his final one. Reveals that truth about the blursing offered to him at the AT. Said it had to be someone that loved him. Gale asked if Percy took the deal and he said he wasn't so foolish; Gale did an Insight check and believed him. Dren asks about the curse on the land and Percy says he doesn't know. Asks N about Strahd's connection to the land but he doesn't know anything new. G suggests we go to Ravenloft to ask Strahd himself. Bell comes in and we catch him up. Bell asks if P took the deal -- Percy easily lies to him as well, saying, "why, you were there."

B spills the beans about Izek. Everyone agrees that he has to die except Bell who begs to keep him alive. Dren points out that he took Ireena to the church as well and suggests that perhaps he's working with Strahd. P casts Suggestion, asks him if he's working with or for Strahd or any of his agents. He pushes the magic away and says no; Dren uses Charm Person and P asks again. He swears no; Dren asks why he brought Ireena to the church and Bell explains. Percy laughs that Bell would give Ireena away so easily; B says it wasn't like that. P suggests we simply kill him and B reincarnate him as someone else so that no one will believe whatever wild tales he tells.

G goes upstairs and plays mandolin. P says that they must get into the chapel if they get into Ravenloft because he believes the Priest holy symbol is there. He suggests that Strahd is egotistical and believes himself a gentleman and would probably give us a tour if we played to his ego. B steps out while we plan. He says that he's worried that something terrible will happen now that Strahd has Ireena, since the curse is connected to him and he is only a vampire because of her. He asks what they would be willing to give up to bring Ireena back. He asks D to bring G back downstairs and reveals that he has the orb. G says he has nothing belonging to P, so P says the orb is his and goes upstairs. He uses his familiar to watch G and D talk about how they can't trust P and how D thought G would give the SG back, how they have to check on Danika now, etc.

B takes the fabric to Magda, convinces her to return to the Mayor. Takes a story book from the AT horde to Blinsky and chats. Gets some armor for Nikolaj from Adrik and buys some diamonds. He warns A that he has learned that bringing someone back doesn't always go as planned. A leads him to Tereska's body. B tries to reincarnate her but is unsuccessful; he explains that her soul is either lost to him or unwilling. B gives him the gold-inlaid child's sarcophagus from the AT and casts Gentle Repose on her.

Dren goes to town to check on Danika. She's okay and says she didn't tell anyone where it is but acts like she's trying to keep her word to someone. He uses Charm Person on her and she knows; he tells her he's disappointed in her. D heads back to RR, buying a longbow and quiver from Adrik on the way.

B stops by the vistani camp on the way back to RR. Asks Luvash about a pet monkey, some high quality agates or diamonds, or quality inks. He says the last monkey they sold met a bad end (lol) so they don't deal with them anymore. B buys 300g worth of ink; Luvash says he can get more in a few days. B buys 400g worth of diamonds. B doesn't feel like he's being ripped off but also realizes that no one else in Barovia has been so easy to deal with. Luvash asks his name and B gives it, first and last. B says hopefully this helps him in his "quest to beat the devil Strahd." L gives no sign and says, "hope they work out for you." B tells him there's a market for agates her and leaves, offering condolences for Arabelle.

G comes upstairs while P is reading. They have a bit of a heart to heart but mostly trade barbs; P asks why G doesn't trust him and G lays it out. P is finally genuinely hurt and uses Suggestion to demand the pendant back. G gives it back and storms out, taking the hell hounds.

G goes to Lake Zarovich and composes an emo song while smoking, then realizes that he needs to be with the party and goes back.

B comes back and gives P the ink; P gives him the money. P asks if B trusts him and B says yes after some time. P pats B on the shoulder and says "You do have great potential, Bellerand." He begins to inscribe Divination into his Book of Shadows.

Everyone returns home and G and D drink in the roost. P asks B to retrieve them from their revelries. D falls from the rafters and G comes down. P says that while they were off getting drunk as they do, P was solving problems as he does. He reveals that the orb is a spell gem containing a single use of Wish. The party gets serious and G apologizes and says he trusts P. P says that with 8 hours, he will be able to contact an entity to learn the probable events of the next 7 days, and he will try to find out if anything terrible regarding the curse and Ireena will happen. He will continue to do it every 7 days, and suggests that they only use the stone if something is about to happen. G agrees.

Next day, B uses Greater Resto on P and P gets his voice back. Unknown if he still has Scrying.
